Explanatory Note
Title: Activities of professional organizations
It comprises the activities of organizations whose members are mainly interested in
a specific scientific discipline, professional practice, or technical domain. The main ones
services provided by these activities are the dissemination of information, representation with
of public bodies, the establishment of ethical standards and public relations (internal and
external).
This includes associations specializing in cultural activities (writers, painters,
journalists, etc.), scientific societies, Orders, Boatswains' Associations,
Salespeople and the like.
Does not include:
Educational activities of professional organizations (85);
Activities of economic and employer associations (94110);
Activities of trade union organizations (94200);
