Explanatory Note
Title: Specialized medical activities
Includes consultations and healthcare provided by specialist doctors (includes
stomatology) and surgeons to individuals not hospitalized in public health establishments
or private. It also includes health care provided by specialist doctors
in health centers, medical posts, offices, hospitals and even activities
developed by independent medical experts in companies, schools, homes, unions
or other locations. Includes activities related to diagnosis and therapy in
outpatient,
namely,
acts
of
radiology,
radiotherapy,
electrocardiography,
electroencephalography, dialysis, chemotherapy, insulin therapy and other complementary acts of
diagnosis and therapy.
Includes family planning centers that provide medical treatment without accommodation (e.g.
example, sterilization, termination of pregnancy), cosmetic surgery activities performed by
specialist doctors and activities of vaccination centers (immunization, inoculation).
Does not include:
General medical practice activities, in an outpatient clinic (86210);
Activities of diagnostic imaging services and clinical analysis laboratories
(8691);
Nursing activities (86940);
Activities of beauty centers and other beauty treatment services (96220);
