Explanatory Note
Title: Security and public order activities
It comprises the activities carried out within the scope of the respective members’ competences
of the Government, as well as regular and auxiliary forces financed by public authorities
who ensure public order or the security of citizens and the State (Police, Guard,
port, border, coastal, transit, municipal and other police forces
special police officers), regardless of the services performed (traffic control,
of foreigners, updating registration records, etc.).
It also includes the provision of equipment and supplies to the forces
police (includes vehicles, aircraft, etc.) and national supply services in situation
of catastrophe in times of peace.
Does not include:
Activities of police laboratories (71200);
Hiring security personnel for events, concerts, fairs and exhibitions (80011);
Defense activities (84220);
