Explanatory Note
Title: Regulation and promotion of the efficiency of economic activity
It comprises the activities carried out within the scope of the respective members’ competences
of the Government in matters related to regulation and support for different sectors
economic: agriculture, forestry, fishing, rural development, industry, land planning
territory, construction, housing and urban planning, transport, communications, commerce and
competition, hotels and tourism, energy, etc. It also includes activities related to
labor issues (regulations relating to working conditions, employment, etc.),
regulation of the granting of licenses, inspection and supervision in the various sectors and the
definition of regional development policy measures to reduce unemployment or
promote development, carried out by the public administration.
Includes the activity of national cybersecurity authorities and financial regulation
relating to business conduct and consumer protection.
Does not include:
Activity of the central bank’s financial supervisory authority (64110);
Financial markets regulation activity (66110);
Financial supervision activity of insurance and pension funds (66290);
Experimental research and development (72);
