Explanatory Note
Title: Cable telecommunications activities
Includes the activities of exploration, maintenance or provision of means of access to
the transmission of voice, data, text, sound and video, through telecommunications infrastructures
by wires. This transmission can be based on a single technology or a combination of several
technologies, including: operation and maintenance of switching and transmission facilities
to provide communications, point by point, over land lines or by combination of lines
terrestrial and satellite connections; exploitation of cable distribution systems (for
distribution of data or television signals), ) with or without provision of services to customers
third party video on request; provision of visual, sound or textual programming received
cable networks, local television stations or radio networks to consumers through
wired Internet protocol TV (the units classified here do not, in general, originate
programming). Includes provision of Internet access and provision of voice over protocol
Internet (VOIP) by wired infrastructure operators.

buildings including fiber optic cabling without operational means for transmitting

Editing instant messaging or satellite geolocation applications (58290);
Creation of television channel programming (60200);
Telecommunications resellers and intermediation services for telecommunications
(61200);
Providing Internet and telephone access in places open to the public (61200);
Provision of voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) services, without operational means
for data transmission (61900);
