Explanatory Note

Title: Sound recording and music editing activities It comprises, in particular, the activities of: production of an original matrix (sound), including digital recordings, accessible online or through any physical medium; service activities sound recording studios (sound recording studios), including the production of radio programs recorded (i.e. not live), audio podcasts, audio for films, television, books, etc., editing of sound recordings, i.e. activities of acquiring and registering copyright for musical compositions, promotion, authorization and use of these compositions in recordings sound, radio, television, films, live shows, press and other media, joint editing and distribution of sound recordings via streaming and downloading. The edition, promotion and distribution of sound recordings to traders (wholesale and retail) or directly to the public, may include producing original masters or obtaining rights of reproduction and distribution of original matrices. Units can own copyrights or be administrators of those rights on behalf of the owners. Includes conversion of sound recordings to streaming formats audio and sheet music editing. Does not include:  Playback from music matrices or other sound recordings (18200);  Wholesale of recorded CDs and DVDs (46494);  Retail sale of recorded CDs and DVDs (47690);  Provision of audio distribution services in streaming (continuous flow) and downloads not associated with your edition (60100);  Activities of musicians (90200);
