Explanatory Note

Title: Manufacture of musical instruments Includes the manufacture of musical instruments (string, keyboard, wind, percussion, etc.), even if the sound is produced automatically or electronically, music boxes, fairground and steam organs, mechanical singing birds, musical saws and other similar instruments. It also includes the manufacture of whistles, signal horns and other mouth instruments for calling or signaling and parts, accessories and separate parts (metronomes, tuning forks, strings, etc.). Does not include:  Manufacture of microphones, amplifiers, speakers, tape recorders and similar (26400);  Manufacture of musical instruments with toy characteristics (32400);  Editing of recorded tapes, CDs and DVSs (59200);  Piano tuning and repair of musical instruments, not considered heritage cultural or historical (95290);
